Brazilian born Karina Vettorel completed her BA Hons First Class degree in Fine Art at the University of East London and also was a winner of the Second Floor Studio Prize 2014. She then worked and exhibited in London until 2015. Karina’s work consists of photography, drawing, printmaking and painting. In her most recent series she has been using photography as a source to inform her paintings developing a distinct style.
Karina moved to Plymouth in April 2015 and she loves working on the Barbican. She shares the studio at 34 New street above Chris Robinson’s wonderful bookshop, with Russell Aisthorpe and Dave Crocker. She expects to hold three or four exhibitions at the studio a year. The rest of the time it will be used as a working studio but you are happy to come and see her work at any time. (When she is in the studio a sign will be outside Chris’s shop).
Karina has a facebook page which she will also update with her work and information about future exhibitions. She hopes you enjoy your her art.
